Nichole Ortiz has been developing artworks since she began her high school years as an art student. Even though she is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Geography, her artistic inner self is still intact. From her pieces it is evident that Nichole enjoys working with mixed mediums to create compositions. She uses a potpourri of materials such as cardboard, transparent paper, stickers or wrapping paper combined with tint, prismacolors, graphite, and even watercolors. In her most recent artworks she works with figures of human bodies, faces with nonrealistic colors, and a diversity of flowers, an evolution that goes from abstract to figurative representations. These pieces inspire harmony and reflection, and seek to encourage others to contemplate themselves. Behind every artwork lies a story created by her and told in a minuscule title.
