As an emerging artist, Ludwig Medina depicts art as an expression to transmit emotions on personal experiences as it is manifested in his solo expositions. His approach has evolved from the “stepladder” in En ascenso, in which he represents the long journey of achieving his master’s degree, to Formas deliberadas, in which he represents anecdotes during and after hurricane María. On most of his artworks, Ludwig works with oil bar paint, which gives him the ability to work on a variety of surfaces. One by one, his pieces hold a story that release him of internal emotions. He plays with the artwork’s titles to give the viewer a hint of time and place; however, it is through abstraction that Ludwig has found a soothing way to share his life story.
